Writing your DC letters 101

It's finally springtime... and that means Diamond Challenge is on my mind (then again, when is it not?)!!!

Just like always, every girl is asked to raise $175. This year I am giving the opportunity to decrease that amount by $50! Your participation in pink week gave you a chance to lower it $25, and by mailing out 10 letters requesting donations, you can reduce it another $25!!

All you have to do is download and print the letters from the THIS LINK, put them in addressed, stamped envelopes and give them to me chapter! I will put them in the mail for you and check you off for $25 less! PLUS--because you mailed out your letters, you more than likely will raise the remaining part of your money!!

Please note that there are 2 attachments:
1. Friends&Family: this is for your neighbors, aunts, grandparents. Print the intro letter, in memory of form AND include a little note from you (see the example below).

2. Business: this is for your doctor, dentist, old/current boss. Print letter, form and include personal note. This allows them to become a Corporate Sponsor of Diamond Challenge.




There is a box in the chapter room to leave your letters, or you can bring them to chapter any time in February.  All money is due March 21.

TIPS:
If you do not have stamps, you can leave $4.50 and I will buy them for you.
Print everything in the SLC and save your ink!
Your personal letter is a great time to fill old friends in on your college life!
Keep the list of people you sent them to so you can follow up with thank-you notes!

Hi, Aunt Jane!

            Thank so much you for taking the time to look over the information about Diamond Challenge. I am taking on a personal goal to raise $175 for this event; if you decide to donate, please put “DC, Carly Nash” in the memo line of the check. Please try to have all donations postmarked by March 11. If you have trouble meeting this deadline, but would still like to donate, please call and let me know.

            I am really excited about being a part of ZTA’s Diamond Challenge this year and cannot wait to see our outcome! The event will take place on Sunday, April 3, from 10am-7 pm, if you are interested in attending. Regardless, I will send an update on the tournament’s success.
